Frequently Asked Questions

When is my ad/coupon due?

All ad materials are due on Friday, October 19th. While we cannot guarantee page placement for non-premium ads, preference is given to ads submitted early and correctly. It turns out the early bird really does get the worm!

Why did my ad get rejected?

If your ad was rejected, you should have received a detailed email explaining why your ad did not pass inspection. Most ads that are rejected are either not the correct size or not a high enough resolution.

What page will my ad be on?

Your guess is as good as ours, truly! Unless you have purchased a premium ad, it’s a game of Tetris to fit all of the ads into the guide. That being said, we always try to place ads next to relevant content.

Can I include an offer in my ad?

Simple answer: no.
Not-as-simple answer: If you purchased a coupon, you can refer to your coupon. But you may not include an offer in your ad.

Who can I contact if I have questions?

If you have questions about ad purchasing, deadlines or payment, please contact Jane at the Convention and Visitor Bureau: Jane@VisitCOS.com.

Submit your OVG ad

Advertisers must provide digital ads as a PDF x-1a or TIF. PDF x-1a is the only acceptable PDF file type. If the PDF does not meet x-1a standards, your files may be rejected. NO OTHER AD FILE TYPES WILL BE ACCEPTED. All files must be high-resolution (300 dpi) at 100% size. All spot colors and RGB images must be converted to CMYK. Please include all necessary bleeds. Advertisers must send/provide files electronically using the directions in the AD SUBMISSION section.

*The Official Vacation Planner is not responsible for errors that the advertiser fails to correct. The color of the on-screen proof and the printed materials will not be exact – there will be some variation.

Large files may take a while to upload. You’ll be redirected to a success page when your upload is complete. This form can accept 50 MB files or smaller. Email “ads@designrangers.com” for help with larger files.
