In an effort to truly make here better, Kimberley Sherwood partners with nonprofits in our community through consulting, coaching and facilitating, empowering their strategic initiatives and helping them thrive.


The challenge
Kimberley’s old site felt sterile and informational—focusing more on what her company does rather than why it matters. She needed a site that spoke to nonprofits in their own language—where they’re at and in the context that is most meaningful to them.

The solution
Context isn’t just text. Kimberley needed a holistic brand that juxtaposed her creative, enthusiastic attitude with the structured methodology of her consulting process. Her website had to reposition her value through both language and design.
02: Our Approach
You're so vain, you probably think this site is about you
But it is! In the consulting industry, people don’t buy services or specialists. They buy solutions to their problems. And Kimberley is exceptional at getting to the root of nonprofits’ challenges to find actionable resources and recommendations to get them back on the path to thriving. So we designed her site with her audience at the forefront—using real-world examples from nonprofits to help organizations see themselves in Kimberley’s site.
The turning point
Branding with personality
Kimberley is the great connector, fusing strategy with actionable insights to deliver so much more than reports. But her old brand, Third Sector Group, and website felt sterile and impersonal—two things that couldn’t be less Kimberley.
In the midst of the website redesign, we had the chance to rebrand Kimberley Sherwood, letting the relaxed, friendly nature of her team shine through in bold typography and a vibrant color palette.
03: The result
Where playful and professional collide
Kimberley’s site now talks very little about her, and yet speaks volumes about how she serves her nonprofit clients. Putting her audience first on the website just reinforces the philosophy and spirit at Kimberley Sherwood: that a thriving nonprofit is unstoppable.
Some of our favorite features:
- A dynamic, engaging Resources page (you read that right) prioritized by common nonprofit challenges
- An easy—and even fun—online form that conversationally walks nonprofits through a few strategic questions
- Copy that is friendly and relational, just like Kimberley
- Scenario-driven service pages that put the focus on solutions, rather than services
